A short review article on conjugated polymers

Abstract This article provides a brief review of conjugated polymers and the various typical polymerization reactions exploited by community to synthesise different polyelectrolytes with varied backbone systems. We further discuss detailed emphasises mechanism involved such as photo-induced electron transfer, resonance energy intra-molecular charge transfer in detection or sensing analytes. Owing their excellent photo-physical properties, facile synthesis, ease functionalization, good biocompatibility, optical stability, high quantum yield, strong fluorescence emission. Conjugated have been explored for wide applications chemical biological sensors, drug delivery screening, cancer therapeutics imaging. As we believe it will be timely community.
